Filbin Painting
Stephen "Chip" Filbin, owner of Filbin Painting, recently donated labor to paint the walls of the Galloway Building, estimated value of $10,000. It is not the first time he has donated a large amount of time to improve the facilities for the kids' areas. Asked why he does this, he responded that it is because of the kids and Dan Thomas, Director of Buildings and Grounds. Dan and his brothers grew up at the Children's Home. Mr. Filbin says, "He cares about the kids and he cares about the place. We like to help out where we can."

Our thanks to the Dr. G. Clifford & Florence B. Decker Foundation for their generous grant to assist in the construction of two residences. The north cottage is named "Decker" in appreciattion.
Sarah
"Welcome to Sarah's House. We hope your time here will be resful, happy and serene. Our desire is that you will leave this place feeling physically refreshed and spiritually renewed." So writes Steve and Betty Purtell on the dedication of one of the new residences on the Hillcrest Campus. Thank you Steve and Betty for your generosity. Thank you also to the foundations that contributed to this construction: Gaffney Foundation, Hoyt Foundation, Klee Foundation, Kresge Foundation, Mee Foundation.
Ahearn
Thanks to the generosity of the J. Donald Ahearn Foundation and Universal Instruments, Cottage A has been renamed Ahearn. The Ahearn Foundation has helped to make a difference in the living environment of the boys who live in that residence through improvement projects including such things as new beds, kitchen cabinets and a host of other capital improvements.

We look forward to a continued partnership with the Ahearn Foundation and Universal Instruments.
Rozen
The Victor & Esther Rozen Foundation has long been a supporter of the Children's Home. This long-standing relationship has resulted in the naming of our older boys' residence from Cottage B to Rozen. We were pleased to have Hillard and Muriel Rozen, their daughter Linda Twichell and grandson Benjamin Twichell take part in the dedication ceremony. Additionally, Benjamin donated sporting equipment to the Rozen Cottage boys. We look forward to a continuing relationshop with this very special family.
