Children's Home - Gift Giving Opportunities
Your gift to the Children's Home can help make an important difference in the lives of children and families. Whether it is a gift of cash, stock, volunteer hours or hard goods, we appreciate all that you do. Together we can change help provide safety, stability and well-being to children and families.
1. Cash.
Cash is the easiest kind of gift to make to the Children's Home, and gifts of cash are tax deductible. (See IRS guidelines for specific information.)
2. Appreciated Stock.
It makes sense to give a gift of appreciated stock, which you have held more than one year, because it generally offers substantial tax savings. If you donate the stock to the Children's Home, you may avoid having to pay capital gains tax. (Contact your attorney or financial planner for details on taxes. 3. Real Estate.
A gift to the Children's Home of real property can offer tax saving. We regret that we are not always able to accept donations of used clothing, furniture and household items. If you wish to make a donation of gently used items you no longer have a use for, please call first.
