The Family Support Program addresses the needs of both the individual child and the family system by including both a therapeutic after-school program and intensive family counseling.ￂﾠ Located in Chenango County, staff pick up children after school and transport them to the program site. Children are transported to their homes following the program.

The program includes an education component as well as recreation, arts and crafts, socializing and dinner. Social workers provide individual, family and group counseling to all youngsters and families.ￂﾠ

The goal of the program is to assist the children in learning socially appropriate skills and to assist parents in developing a wider range of parenting skills. The Family Support Program seeks to maintain the children in their households and works intensively with children and family members in order to accomplish that goal.
